network file sharing

I recently switched back to Mcafee from Norton and now I can't see any of the other computers on my local area network. They can all access the internet, using a linksys broadband router, but they can't see each other. Tried turning off firewall software but it didn't make a difference.

It could be the file and print sharing. Some anti-virus plans recomend turning this feature off, but without it the workstations don't show up in the neighborhood.
