from a FAQ

My network seems to have numerous collisions, or is very slow!! Can this be because of my cabling?

Yes, in fact most network collisions are due to poor equipment, I.E. wiring jacks, patch panels or poor installation. Electrical noise from lights, motors and some equipment will cause network collisions and significantly reduce the speed.

I'd first guess that the flood of inbound packets and errors therein might indicate either bad equipment or another machine using the same IP address.

Did you crimp these cables yourself? I've noticed that CAT6 and CAT5e are very hard to crimp, recheck and recrimp. Are you using stranded or solid? Stranded causes problems.
