Hi guys,

I've inserted the spare sd card to our old IP office V2 control unit to get the license details/xml file stored on it but the problem is, I can't log is with "network error failed to communicate with ip office" error.

I set the secure communication to none but no joy. Any idea please?

The systems is on R8.1 and I am trying to access using IP office manager 11.0.

If you just wanna get the license file it should be easier to just use a PC to access the SD card.

Should be under System -> Primary and is called PLDSkeys.xml

Hi Janni78, the systen is on R8.1 and on ADI license. The vendor is asking for the XML file in order for them to provide an upgrade lic. He said to log in office manager to extract the XML file.

Is the PLDSkeys.xml present from SDcard even it is still on R8.1?

Try turning on security and verify it is set to None before turning it off. If you leave on Low it can still cause that error.

@budbyrd have tried what you have suggested but no luck.

In that case you need to login to the IP500 and use License Migration under Tools in Manager so that's an issue if you can't connect to it.

They should still be able to create a quote if you have the configuration tho.

Ths is the issue as we don't have the config file as well.

Almost always when I see that message it is because there is a mismatch between the IP address of the PC/Laptop and the IP address of the IP Office. Check the subnet and make sure both devices are on the same.

If you think it is a network issue connect directly. Most installs don't use the WAN port. Set your PC static at 192.168.43.(anything except 1) and take the network out of the loop. On a side note I wouldn't make any programming changes on an R8 with R11 manager. I have had it wipe out hunt groups on a save.
