I have a few network drive mapping on my v4.5 (w2k) master server, which I would want netbackup to do the backup. It appeared that netbackup is not recognising the network drive mapping. Is it possible to do network drive backup or UNC path backup?
I have checked the 'Backup Network drive' in the policy. I have specify 'G:\to-be-backup' in the 'files' tab. However, the netbackup still cannot find anything to backup. I checked from the explorer and everything is readable. Am I missing something?
If the original poster is still around: Was this issue ever resolved? And how?
I'm having the same issue. NBU 5.0, MP4 on Windows 2003. I'm trying to back up a network drive (mapped to a drive letter) off of the master server but the backup consistently fails with status 71 (none of the files in the file list exist).
I have followed the troubleshooter and the bpcp service is running under a privileged account (rather than system). Other client backups of the master server work fine.
I turned on the logging...bpcd looks fine and all that is noted in bpbkar is "7:44:30.859 AM: [3488.1184] <2> tar_base::V_vTarMsgW: TRV - object not found for file system backup: S:" and then a repeat of the status message and then the job abort.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions from anybody.
