Hi,

We operate a windows 2000 server with XP client PC's. In the last few days I have had an issue where a users domain account will not login to any PC that I have tried on our network.

What happens is, the users name and password are accepted but the PC just hangs on loading windows. This is same on any PC I try and not just the users own PC. I can login as a different user on their PC with no issues

Their domain account settings appear to be fine, certainly not locked and no different from before.

With the first occurance of this fault, as I could'nt find out what had caused it so I deleted the users account and recreated it...

I'd prefer to know what the cause is in case it happens again. Has anyone got any ideas???

Cheers in advance.

A couple of things;

1. The user's profile is corrupted
2. If the user has a roaming profile, it could be huge and taking forever to load
