Network Degredation

Hello,
I have 2 questions.
I am running Novell / NT network with IP and IPX,
win 9x clients
I have recently installed NAV CE 7.6x to a server and proceeded to rollout to the clients, since then I have had complaints of network degredation, any theories???
also I have had repeated problems installing the client to win 9x clients. It either says not a complete install or says it is configuring it but does not complete the install. Thanks for the help ahead of time

HI.

What OS version and service pack on your servers (both NT and Netware)?

I have noticed some problems with NW 4.11 servers - NAV takes lots of resources and might abend the server when you try to unload it after it was running for a long time.

Apply latest service pack on all servers to be on the safe side.
You can unload NAV from the NW servers to see if this is your main performance issue .
Configure servers to scan only "Modified" files, this is less secure but better for performance.

Read the NAVCE manuals - there are several tips about network installations, servers, and protocols.
