I have a 10/100bt network I'm using a 3com Linkbuilder FMS II hub.  When I connect the hub to a live wall outlet that I am able to get on the network with no problem w/o a hub the cat 5 cable going to the wall into plug one on the hub gets no link light any other compters that I plug into the hub get link lights but no network connectivity.  I pretty certain it is not a hub issue but don't know why I can't get a network link through a hub.

The 'live' wall outlet obviously goes to a hub or a switch. When you connect 2 hubs together, you have to use one of two methods:
1. Use a specially configured port (marked uplink or mdix)
2. Use a cross-over cable (pairs 2 & 3 swapped)
