Hey guys, I’m a phone guy trying to help a friend set up here TM-U220 printer on there network, sorry if I sound like an idiot and I don’t know everything. They have one Printer set up via USB to a terminal on the main counter. Now, they have a second (Kitchen Printer) TM-U220 printer with a RJ45 10/100 network connection. The local network is set up for DHCP with a address range 192.168.2.1-49, and as far as the POS tech support is concerned all of the current drivers are installed. When I use the software that supposed to assigned the IP address to the printer it just sits there and says “searching”. Are there dip switch settings or anything else I can check?

Network connection on TM-U220 not working.

You should be able to turn on dip switch 1, turn power off and on, and have the printer print a status page and see if the printer is, indeed, picking up an IP
