hi, i installed a fresh new copy of winxp pro, slipstreamed with sp2. however, after i installed it, i used xplite pro to delete whatever that is not needed from the system.

however, after a few weeks (now), i decided that i want to link my laptop (the said system) to my home network, when i start configuring the network settings in start>control panel>network connections. there is nothing in that window. well, i guess i will just have to use file>new>blah.

ok, so i got to the window that says that it will launch network connection wizard to help me setup my network, however, after i click ok, the previous windows disapear, and the wizard never came up. I tried manually launching the wizard, and it doesnt work.

my question is, is there a way for me to manually fix this? like manually just install the network components , and not the entire windows. I hate to go thru all that again, especially my laptop has no cdrom, and i have to DIY all my way thru to the HDD, and unplug it.

thanks

Have you tried using the 'Add / Remove Windows Components' dialog contained in the 'Add / Remove Programs' applet in the control panel?
