Can anyone give me any advice on how to find network congestions on a network with 12 3com switches, and one netscreen router/firewall? I am lost on how to start troubleshooting network slowness. PLEASE HELP> any suggestions for a rookie like me would be a great start

12 switches? my first step would be to draw them out if you haven't already and look for potential bottlenecks - ports that might be carrying the load of other switches.

Then analyse those ports and see what sort of utilisation/throughput you are getting at various points.

How many end devices are you talking about?

180 devices running 100mbps. 12 switches. 12 Switches connected to 2 main swithcs through 1gig on the server room which.
