Network Communication without xml ? 1

Can you do comunication over the network in flash wthout
using xml ? its for writing a new GUI on an already existing server.. I just want to be able o send normal simple stuff like a serie of numbers.

xml is just one way for flash to send and receive data

link to a database via a server side script
query strings
flash remoting


there are many options. just choose the one easiest for you.

far as i am aware simple sockets and flash = xml

any of the other methods i mentioned will do fine for sending small to larger amounts of data.

to which i will add localconnection
