Hi, I am looking for study material on VPN and security on
communicagtions, e.g. firewall, IPsec, L2TP, GRE, PPTP,
authentication protocols, encrption methods, certificates,
etc. Can you please give me some suggestions on good study
material on these subjects ?

I've read both and recommend them. Haven't read anything regarding L2TP or PPTP specifically so I can't recommend anything. The RSA book is quite good IMHO.
