Depends, if it's a Server Edition you get plenty for each site. (250 I believe)
In an SCN it depends on the number of users at each site. Also, are you using Centralized Voicemail?
i.e. if you have 4 networking trunks using 100 users you will get congestion. No free channels no calls.

Also as a reminder on SCN trunks with IP500's only the outgoing channels are licensed. So if you have a single Networking license then you get 4 outgoing calls and as many as the other system has at the same time. That helps if you have 1 large system with 16 channels and multiple smaller systems with 4 channels then each SCN trunk can have 20 calls on it.
