Network Card Troublshooting

I have a computer with two ethernet cards and I beleive one to be bad. How can I check this? The system is windows nt 4.0. Is there a way to check with an NT tool?
Please Help!!

Try it in another machine; remove the working card and re-install the potentially bad card.

Trying a new cable etc, process of elimination.
