Hi,

I hope some one can help me out, I'm a bit rusty on NT configuration.

I have a HP DL380 G2 server which I have just installed as a BDC, to get the server to join the domain I had to put a 3Com network card in as, even with using HP SmartStart to install with, it didn't recognise the built-in network cards.

I now have a problem, I can't seem to be able to install the server network cards at all. I have SP6a installed and have downloaded drivers from HP but I cannot seem to get them installed.

Could someone give me some pointers please.

Thanks,
Andrew

We may all be rusty on NT 4 but here are some steps. If you need more let me know.

To install the NIc drivers:-

1. Go to Control Panel and double-click NETWORK.
2. Go to the Adapters tab and click ADD.
3. Then click HAVE DISK.
4. Next, type in the path to the drivers and click OK.
5. Select the network card driver and then click OK.
6. Choose the config settings for the nic and then click OK.
7. Choose or type any other necessary network configuration options on the Identification, Services, and Protocols tabs, and then click Close.
8. It will do binding and updating for a little while.
9. Click YES to restart computer. If you are not prompted you should still restart.

Life is what you make it.
