Network Card Installation

I am trying to install a NetGear FA311 NIC on a SCO Openserver 5.0.5 machine. When I try to add it, I don't see it in the list of LAN adapters. How do I install the driver from the CD and get the machine to recognize the NIC?

Have you installed the drivers by following the instructions on the installation floppy?

1.80\sco\scoopen.txt contains the instrutions

When I try the doscp command, I get an error saying
"doscp: can't open /dev/hd1d"

do a "man doscp" and see what are the correct devices to use!!

When I try the "man doscp" command, it says "pg: cannot reopen stdout".

what a hell have you been doing to your system?

for the floppy

doscp /dev/installathname/filename .

as for the "pg:" never seen that error. were you in any type of funny shell?

and does
man doscp|more
work or does it give another error?
