there is a T1 between the Meridian1 and NEC system
the option 11c, has a incoming PRI Trunk with DIDs.
one block terminates on the M1 and the other block of DIDs go over the T1 and terminate on the NEC (each have their own receptionist)

Can the NEC receptionist forward the calls back to an extension on the option11c when she is going on a break?

so the call goes over the T1 to the NEC and comes back on the T1 to the option11c. Is there anything that needs to be done specailly any pkg? anything on the NEC?

thanks in advance

AS LONG AS THE NEC WILL ALLOW YOU TO FORWARD IT TO THE EXTENSION IN THE OPTION 11, SOME SWITCHES ARE A LITTLE TOUCHEY ABOUT FORWARDING TO AN EXTENSION THATS NOT IN THERE SWITCH. ALL YOU CAN DO IS TRY IT

thanks perrypj ... is something required on the M1 side ...
i was reading up on NXFER and NSIG so that the channels dont get tied up.

in my case of forwarding and transferring back one call takes up 3 channels of the T1 between the switches, using the regular forward and transfer. - is that true?

ive forwarded the question to the NEC vendor - we are doing this just becasue the M1 does not have a voice-over capability and now running into operational nitty grittys
