In this , thread575-1281785 someone posted a neat site that had some cabling issues (to say the least). I am looking for some sites to get one of my guys on their way to some training. I have some older stuff that have a little bit of the basics that he has been looking through, but I would like for him to have a good general knowledge before just throwing him in class.

I looked through the achieve and found a couple of old threads, but none of the links work anymore.
I have several of the BICSI manuals, be he isn’t ready for that yet. If you could post some sites that could help him get on his way, I would appreciate it.

Exactly the sort of stuff I am after, thank you DTSMAN.

Nice easy to read site! Good for anyone who wants a simple easy to understand look into structured cabling. [smile]

2 thoughts about the Questions and Opinions section.

The author, who is from the UK, mentions Low Smoke Zero Halogen cabling. I've seen LSZH mentioned on Systimax's website, but the cable is sold only in Europe.

In the list of cable types, the author lists 5, 5E, 6 & 7. No mention of 6E and 6A.

I meant to add to the last post that the lanshack site has a great dos and donts list.
