Hi Everyone.

I'm hoping someone can help my out.....

I have this computer on my network that for some reason just stopped getting the internet connection. I've done the obvious - bought a new cable, bought and installed a new network card, ran antivirus software in case of virus, tested the computer through another port in my router etc.

I have no idea what to do and I really would like to try and solve this without having to reinstall windows.

I'm using Windows XP Pro.

The lights on my router do not show up for this specific computer - no matter which port it is in (all the others appear fine). The NIC lights on the back of the computer are not lighting up - they were before. I've tried the New NIC Card in all 3-4 of my PCI slots, still nothing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance.

Per say... wireless router with 4 ports..
1. unplug the router about 15 sec. replug and see if any lites show.. L -> R 1=power 2=wireless on/off 3,4,5,6 are the 4 ports... 7 is internet connection. What happens?
