I know this should be an easy question but am not 100% sure my thought is correct and before I discuss it with others thought I would ask y'all...If you perform a net send, will everyone get it even if they are across a router? Routers are designed not to forward any broadcasts anything it thinks is al 1s...So only the people in the network segment in which the broadcast originated from would get see it right?

I know you can tell a router to forward broadcast but that requires additional configuration, yes? Any help is appreciated!

All true. Routers won't forward broadcasts unless configured to do so. The extra configuration is minimal. Depending on what type of broadcast, I think:

'ip directed-broadcast' (on both the forwarding and forwarded interfaces)

'ip forward-protocol udp xxx' where xxx is the port number

'ip helper-address n.n.n.255' (whatever the broadcast address is at the destination)
