I currently have a system using a Motorola PowerPC VME card booting from an attached SCSI disk. The system needs to change to remote boot from a RAID.
I created a network boot image using bosboot (had to install NIM to get this to work). The boot process never gets into rc.boot for the third time and I have an error in the nimlog. <0042-001 nimclient: processing error encountered on "master": 0042-006 nimclient: (To_Master) rcmd connection refused. Seems right since I don't have a master.
Is it possible to remote boot a diskless system without using NIM? What needs to be done?
Thanks for your help.
