I have a customer who has a network alchemy. He does not want to upgrade to IP office. He needs more analogue phones
so needs a pots 8 or 16. And network alchemy pots modules are hard to come by.can you use a ip office pots module on the alchemy. I remember seeing a document about backward compatability with these units. many months ago.

You cannot use IP Office Pot modules on a Alchemy, but you can use Alchemy Pot modules on an IP Office.

FYI:

Compatible with Alchemy base units
IP Office Digital Terminal 16 module
IP Office WAN3 module New
IP Office So8 module
IP Office VCM 5/10/20 cards (PCS level 1)
IP Office Modem 2 card
Current IP Office BRI 8 card (700185168)

NOT compatible with Alchemy base units
IP Office Digital Terminal 30 module
IP Office WAN3 10/100M module
IP Office WAN3 10/100M module
IP Office Phone 8/16/30 modules
IP Office VCM 5/10/20 cards (PCS level 2+)
IP Office VCM 30 card (IP412 only)
New IP Office BRI 8 universal (700262017)
Current IP Office PRI 30 card (700185176)
New IP Office PRI 30 card (SAP 700272461)
IP Office PRI 60 E1 card (dual PRI)
IP Office Analog Trunk 4 (LS) card
IP Office Analog Trunk 16 module
IP Office Digital Station 16/30 modules

Please note that IP Office base units ARE backwards compatible with Alchemy trunk cards (BRI/ISDN-8 and PRI-30 but NOT the BRI-4 card used on the ArgentOffice4), Voice Compression Module cards (VCM 5, 10 and 20), Modem-2 cards and Alchemy expansion modules (So8, DT16, Phone 8/16/30, WAN-3).
