Is it possible to use IPO Manager to download a config from an Alchemy? I'm not going to make any changes, I just need to be able to read users, ICR, groups etc.

Yes, but I needs to be on older version of manager, I think R3 and even R4 Manager etc can open the configs ok

It will probably work, but IPO Mangaer has things in it that the Alchemy doesn't. To be safe, I would always use the right Manager, just like we used to with the IPO.

you remind us of the dark days of IPO when you could screw up a system by using teh wrong version of Manager and had to install Manager on almost every site before making changes.

a tech I used to work with was a bugger for using an Alchemy on an IPO. Then he wondered why the licenses kept being deleted!!! No such thing in Alchemy Manager!!

What a dope he was. He now does Alcatel!!!!!! hehehehe
