Network Adapter Profile Manager ?

Hi There,

I have seen a couple of these programmes available on the net for purchase/trial such as MultiNetwork Manager and netswitcher.

Would any one here know of any open source manager's that simply let me switch ip addresses with a simple click of a button?

Netsh.exe, a native XP utility can do this. You can either create .bat files for each instance, or use the dump/restore sequence:

. Direct command line .bat form

For example, to set a static IP of 192.168.0.100, subnet 255.255.255.0, Gateway 192.168.0.1 with a Metric of 1:
(all one line)
netsh interface ip set address name="Local Area Connection" static 192.168.0.100 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1 1

. Or, use the GUI to configure the adapter, and then do a dump from Netsh. You can write a small .bat file to restore setttings from the dump:
