For over 4-5 months now I could access without any problems the external Maxtor USB2/firewire hard drives (NTFS) connected directly to a W2K machine on the locally networked Millennium OS computer.
Since 3 days ago I can no longer access these drives on the Millennium machine. At trying to access the networked drives I now get an error message that says: Not enough memory is available. Quit some programs.
This is hardly possible as the W2K machine has 1GB of memory and the Millennium has 384KB and NO programs there are open. It always worked flawlessly...but no more. I tried as hard as I could but to no avail. I just cannot access the external hard drives any more from the Millennium computer.
I would greatly appreciate any help and suggestions to overcome this problem.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
