Network access confusion

Hi,

I have just created a new domain, setup user accounts etc.

I have noticed on several people's machines (ones which aren't joined to the domain) that if I go to Start, Run, \\servername, I will be prompted for a windows username/password box (which is fine). I input the correct username and password, but the user account gets locked out straight away when I press ok.

This isn't the case for all users, only a handful. Other non-domain pc's can access \\servername without any issues.

Does anybody have any ideas?
