An old Netware Server is basically junk and has crashed for good but I need to get the data from the hard disk. Can I somehow do it using W2K ... maybe using some kind of utility to access the data. Currently W2K cannot read anything on the disk. I don't have any other access to a Netware Server.

I don't know the name off hand and didn't look to hard for the web site, but there is a program out there that will allow you to read pretty much any type of data using your Windows 2000 workstation.

Also, you can use software from Ontrack to recover volume data. It's only about $400 and works pretty good. You can download a trial version that will allow you to recover about 5 files. This will allow you o see if it will even work. Last time I used it it took about 16 hours to scan a 2 gig volume (but that was also on a P133). It's a DOS app, so I hope you know DOS. If you don't have a DOS disk, search for one of the DRDOS sites. It's basicly free and works much better the M$. Brent Schmidt CNE,Network + [atom]
