I'm running Netware 6.0, and I use the Netware Remote Manager every day, have for months. After I changed my netware password, I started getting an error using it. After I connect and login, it'll say:

Hostname Mismatch
The hostname in the server security certificate
does not match the name of the server

Hostname of the URL: 192.168.0.3
Hostname of the certificate: 192.168.0.5

Do you want to proceed? Yes/No

After I click yes it seems to be ok. What can I do to fix this error?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Did you change the IP address of your NetWare server?

That error seems to indicate that the server's SSL certificate has the wrong IP address.

If that's the case, the easiest thing to do would be to re-create the certificate object in ConsoleOne. If you need instructions on this, I can help you.

I do need instructions on this. The ip has not been changed. It just started happening after I changed my Netware PW. Thanks.

hhhmmm
If all that's changed is your password, I don't want to go messing around with your SSL certificates. I'll look around & see if I can find some possible explanations.

Thanks bud. I've looked, but can't seem to find a solution =)

About the Hostname Mismatch error --

Does this pop up as a security alert dialog when you first access the page? Is it an error that shows up on one of the Remote Manager's pages? Is this before or after the login dialog box pops up & you authenticate?

Happens after the login box pops up and I log in. Give it a second or two, and it pops up at the main screen with the error.

I haven't really been able to find any TIDs on that...

Hopefully somebody else here has seen this before

Where in console one can I check the ssl certificates anyways?

Your server certificates are typically located in the same container as the server objects. By default, each server will have two certificates -- SSLCertificateIP and SSLCertificateDNS.
