Netware Client 483 slow to access NT and Netware Drives

We have an NT server with Exchange loaded and some NT "shares" on it. Also we have Netware servers for most of the file storage. I loaded the Netware Client 4.83 on a Win2k Pro machine and all is pretty good. Access seems slow though compared to another identical Win2k Pro machine without the Netware client. Even access to the Netware boxes are slower. I tried to tweek some settings to no avail. Is there anything else I can check to be sure I get better performance? I just KNOW that Netware file system is much faster so I am a little bewildered. Thanks!

Is the workstation configured to access the Servers via TCPIP or IPX or both? Make sure that SLP is configured for the NetWare side if you are using TCIP.
