Please help me shutoff the messages that broadcast back to my station after every time I send anything to the printers.

I have tried to turn off alerts and change it in the printer settings, but I think I need to change it at the server.

the workstations are on Win98 and the server is running Novell 5.0 I think.

please help

Go to the printer settings on your workstation then there will be a check box which says NOTIFY uncheck it. This should solve your problem

Thanks a ton, that worked for the windows print jobs, however, I am still having dos pring jobs & 16bit apps send a netware bradcast message that is disrupting everthing, any suggestions?

If you capture the printer in novell which you probably do if you are printing from dos try right clicking on the N in the taskbar and then going to the novell capure printer port select the printer that is captured and cleck on setting there is another notify in the box that comes up.
Hoep this helps

If you are using CAPTURE.EXE, you have to specify the NNOTI option. Use CAPTURE /? for more information -----------------------------------------------------
