Hello,
We use arcserve 2000 advanced ed. running on windows NT 4.0 server. Currently we use the arcserve client agent for netware ver. 7.0 to back up our netware 4.11 servers, we're upgrading to netware 6.0 running IP only.
Do I need to purchase a new client agent or can I use the same ones since the 4.11 servers will be replaced with netware 6 servers? any info on the installation Also I am using Compaq dl380 G2 clustered servers with external storage do I need a seperate client for them? since each clustered volume will have an individual ip address
Any info would be helpful
Thanks in advance

Hi!
I encountered many problems with AS2000 for NT and NW6, but I finally found a NW6-NWagent version combination that works fine, excepting the low restore throughput using TCP (about 10 times slower than the backup throughput or the restore t'put using IPX). Novell support will escalade this case to their labs.
Important: use AS2000 SP3, NW6 SP1, Nwagent V7 + CA's patch QO12920 on Netware. DON'T INSTALL NW6 SMS or Clib patches; you can get some abends in Libc.NLM starting the backup job in this configuration.

Hi

You can use the same 7 push agent on Nw 6
apply qo05996 then QO19337.CAZ from CA to the agent
if the agent failes with license error

install these server in a new NDS tree with the same old
key codes

thanks
