I have two servers in my tree and I have three OU's. I don't want one of the OU's to even know that there is one server in the tree (only the server that they login to). I have been trying with container login scripts but no luck. Can anyone help me with this or can you point me in the right direction.

So let me ask you this, you are wanting to point users to a specific server? Or are you wanting only a specific server to reply to a GNS request? Does this server hold a replica? If so what type? If you specify a default server in NWAdmin for the users, by default, it will access that server. If they map to both servers, then sorry, there is not much you can dol;

Any ways, give me the additional info, and I can more than likely help..

Mark
Mark C. I have a bunch of users that belong to a specific OU and I don't want them to be able to browse on of my two servers. (Network Neighbourhood or any network search they will not see any other server than the authentication server - for all they are knowing, there is only one server)
The server that I want them to access has been set to be the only GNS server, and it is the master replica.
I hope that this helps.

Thanks in advance.

By default, if the users do not have rights to a specific server, they will not be able to browse it. They in turn will only be able to see the server object in Network Neighborhood. If for some reason a user has the ability to see the volumes and data on the second server, then you have a security issue which will need resolution. NDS reports the server objects to network neighborhood, the only other way I can think of removing it is if you removed the BROWSE object right to that server, you will have to test this first. That would be the Browse object right either from the OU or the Public trustee.

TEST TEST TEST TEST TEST...that's all I can recommend for now..

Mark C.
