I am somewhat familiar with DHCP on NT. I have not installed it on Netware. I was wondering if someone could give a comparison. Particularly, NT does not seem to have a way to export or search the list of MAC addresses to find an IP or vice versa. (Since the file remains "in use" while the DHCP server is running.) Is this the same situation with Netware, or is there a better reporting feature?
Dan

I have taken the time to learn about the DHCP on Novell. I must say that I am quite impressed because it uses Novell's NDS to store the information. In conjunction, as users are given a dynamic address, the information on the Users Mac address etc is also stored in NDS. Giving you a central repsository and one location to manage everything from. However, if you feel comfortable with using NT's DHCP, you can always setup the Novell end as a secondary.
Mark C. I will be achieving my CNE 5 in the near future, hopefully before Novell's CCR deadline. I also have my BS in MIS
