Help,

Ok, so i setup a 6.5 server using the pre-migration option. Unfortunatly, I screwed up and didn't put it in a temporary tree. Instead I placed it in the same container as the 5.1 server. What do i do now? Can I just delete the server from the container in NWAdmin? Or is there something I need to do first? When google "removing a server from a tree" it sounds like they are talking about servers that have been a part of the tree for a long time. I am kinda thinking/hoping i can just delete it because the pre-migration server is not fully setup, and just rebuild it in it's own temp tree. Please help, I am supposed to be doing this tomorrow, having already schedule network down time.

Probably should have done some homework before just throwing it in there like that. Maybe a little planning as well.

But yes you could remove the server. Or you could leave it and just copy files to it and transfer power to it from the NW5.1 server.

Thanks, just to be safe I used NWCONFIG to remove Directory services. Ran DSRepair to make sure the tree was healthy and deleted any ophanged objects.
