I had Arcserve 7 working OK on Netware 4.11
Upgrade to Netware 5.1 and the AS Manager will not see the netware volumes.
Have check netware permissions, fixed the CATIRPC port settings on both server and workstation, and applied the cummulative patch - but still no Netware volumes, just the server names and the NDS

Well - sounds fishy but here are my thoughts. What OS are you running the manager on? Theoretically it is not supported on Windows 95. My personal findings are that it doesn't run reliably on Windows 98 if the machine has been "around the block" i.e. lots of programs installed/uninstalled on it. Try it on a Windows 2000 Professional or Windows NT Workstation to see if that helps. Also make sure you have all the patches installed on your manager PC.

Some of these patches have the same files. I would get them all into the same folder to make sure that you install the newest version of each file (tree.dll for example appears in at least two of these patches).

I'm running Windows 2000 with Netware 4.81 client
I took your advice and applied all the patches but the problem hasn't gone away.
I've also notice that the discovery service isn't working and wonder if it could be related.

Well that doesn't sound right!! Try to start and stop the discovery service to see if it makes any difference. Also there is a new client for 2000 from Novell version 4.83. I thought of one more thing!!! Have you put the IP addresses and names of your Arcserve server(s) in the hosts file on your 2000 manager PC?? That is listed as a requirement somewhere in the documentation.

Something like this:
192.168.9.36 "Your Arcserve server name here"
192.168.9.15 "Your other Arcserve server name here"

Is there any possibility that you can install Arcserve Manager on another PC (98 or 2000) and see if the problem is duplicated?? I know that sounds lame, but if you could eliminate the problem as being Manager related, that would help focus troubleshooting.

John
