NetWare 4.2 remote dial-in

User wants to set up a modem on NW4.2 file server to enable mobile users to dial-in from remote location and just run server apps (equivalent of a NT RAS connection). Internet access is not required. Anyone got any tips/links on how best to do this?

I would not let users dial-in directly to the server...That should only be used for support. what you could do is, setup a VPN then have the users dial-in to the VPN once connected they can then sign into novell...

If all they want to do is run APPS, you could also setup a Terminal Services Server...That works great..

Thanks for that, but customer really just wants simple dial-up connection. Would NIAS do the trick?
