I have a user on a Netware 4.11 server whose username is "AFitzgerald". Hers is the only username among the users which is over 8 characters in length.

Her login script by default maps her G: drive to her home directory.

However, for some reason the drive doesn't seem to be getting mapped correctly.

Well, it gets mapped to the correct LOCATION, I should say, but when she tries to select documents within Microsoft Word 2000, they appear as 8.3 filenames, not long filenames.

I read Novell's support docs about a patch called MIXMOD or something similar which fixes some long file name problems; could this fix this problem?

The server already has Long file name support loaded, and has the latest OS service pack. The client PC has the latest patches to Windows 2000 and Office 2000, and the latest Novell client.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!

do the files look correct from another workstation?
can she rename a file and give it a long name? Brent Schmidt CNE, Network +

Hi Brent, yes, the files in the directory do appear correctly from other workstations logged in as other users, but I haven't tried logging her account onto a different machine, I will try this and see what happens.
