NetView 6k 5.2 help on paging

Hello.I have a newbie question...I am sending an error message to NetView 6k via SNMP. It is getting it..now question is how to email that message to myself....apparently my developer can only email a message saying ERROR..and that to me is Utterly USELESS..I strongly believe there has to be a way for NetView 6k (ver 5.2) to email me the message that it is being sent from the server...

One method would be to send the event to TEC.

You can send an email for events received, via a rule, and the tec email task. The actually message, can be configured from the slot values, of the event, so you can have a full description of the message.

If using NT, you can set the SMTP relay, via wmailhost and there is an executable called smtp_client.exe, installed with Framework I think.

Paging can either be setup via a 3rd party product like PageGate, or you can email a SMS provider, that will convert your email to an SMS.
