Netvault Compression

I have netvault 7.1.1 running on a Snap server with the most up to date OS...I have everything working the way I want it except for data compression. I see where it allows me to use network compression but I can't find where to compress the data before it hits the tape. Any suggestions?

There is an option in the Netvault UI that turns Compression on when the data hits the tape. I believe it is a checkbox on the same screen where you choose the tape destination.

What screen would that be in? When you run the back-up wizzard or someplace else? I can't seem to find anything like that...

I will let you know when I get back into town in a few days. I think the checkbox is on the screen where you choose the tape device.
