I have a problem where the netshield icon in the system tray crashes. It can be restarted again ok. I have changed the size of file scanning in the registry but still it keep crashing. SP1 has been installed as well.

Any ideas on this???

Andy

I had the same problem 3 months ago, I installed SP1 and the problem went away, but over the last week it has come back, so thats just great (not). Are you scanning zip's?? if so you may want to change the timeout as that was what was causing the problem originaly.

Thanks
Simon

I have changed the timeout, it worked fine for about 2 weeks and then does it again. What did you change the timeout value to???

To be honest I don't think I did change the timeout, I read a help file from McAfee and they said the problem was Zip files and you could get around it by changing the zip scan time or run the SP, I run the SP and it worked. As the problem has restarted I have even turned off zip scanning and it looks like the problem is not that. I think I will reinstall the software from scratch see what that does, I will let you know if I have any luck.
