Hi,

I have configured my SSG520 to send a SNMP trap when it detects a link down, however, the trap that is sent looks like:
Enterprise: .1.3.6.1.4.1.3224;
Generic: 2;
Specific: 0;

Variables:
[1] mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifIndex.4 (Integer): 4
[2] mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifAdminStatus.0 (Integer): up
[3] mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifOperStatus.0 (Integer): down

The mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescr.4 does not come in. Is there a way to configure the device so it sends the interface name with the trap?

THanks in advance!

That part above defines ur interface, in this case its interface 4...

You would need to either work out the relation between the IF numbers and the real IF names eg eth0/0... the simple way I found is just to unplug each one lol

The in your SNMP app, just interpret each one based on the IF message as above. As it will be different per int.

Cheers
