Hi

I am using the Netscreen Remote 7.0.3 on a Windows 2000 laptop. When I dial using a 56k Dial up connection to my network I have no problems, however when I am using my ISDN connection with a maximum speed of 128kbps to get onto the network I am having tremendous problems.

I have assigned the IP address given to my by the ISP to the network card. I can browse the internet fine with no problems but I cannot establish a connection to my LAN. Wwhen I check the log viewer on the Netscreen remote it just shows the interface IP of the card and it doesnt get any further. Also I have the interface set to that of the card and as a result it shows the IP of that assigned to me by the ISP.

What am I doing wrong, could someone please guide me on what I am missing.

Thanks

What type of Auth are you using on your Firewall? Have you enabled logging on the policy? If not, enable logging on the policy so you can check the logs afterwards. Also, enable PING on the external interface and run some trace routes from your PC. That way you can establish connectivity and rule out the obvious. When done, you can disable the PING again.

Keep me posted and I hope this helps.
