I am standing up NetScouts nGenius on a Solaris 8 box.
I have plenty of hardware based on the Applications info sheets. However, I am a bit concerned about the file systems structure. I am installing the OS from scratch and want to make sure I allow enough space in /var, /usr, /etc, /opt, /bin it needs for the install of the OS and the application. I know the /opt is going to depend a lot on how many devices I am monitoring etc. but I would like to know if anyone has RTM on a Solaris platform and what there file system looks like. How big is /var, /usr, /opt etc and how many devices they are monitoring. Any insight would be a help. Thanks
