Sept. 20: Netscape and FrontPage clash
When using Microsoft FrontPage 2000 to create a hover button on a web page, Netscape Navigator may not load the button, but display the following error message in the status bar instead: “Applet fphover class fphover could not be loaded.” According to Microsoft, this may occur if the URL contains a non-ASCII character (i.e. ALT+146). To work around this problem, publish the page to a new location that doesn’t contain any non-ASCII characters.
