Netscape vs IE: My new wireless card

I Have DSL into a router. PC wired to linksys wireless ap router. Laptop running XP with linksys wireless card.

On my laptop...

I cannot use IE. It fails to make a connection.

I CAN use Netscape.

What can I do to make IE useable?
