I know this has been posted numerous times but I can't seem to fix the problem.

The basics of the website can be found at . You'll notice in IE that the menu items and top row line up perfectly but in Netscape there's a tiny gap between the 3rd and 4th columns. I've tried messing about with the background-repeat in the css file and I believe you have to have something in the cell to make the background image appear in Netscape but it spoild the layout.

Any help regarding this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

The table cell containing &quot;top3.gif&quot; doesn't display at all in Netscape 4.7. You have the content of the cell set to &quot;top2.gif&quot; with it's size set to zero. I think Netscape 4.7 has a problem loading an image into a zero size. Is this just there so the background will display in Netscape? You could also try &quot;<pre> </pre>&quot; or &quot;&nbsp;&quot;.

Also, why not use a bgcolor instead for this cell. The hexidecimal code for this shade of red is &quot;#bb0000&quot;.

Another thought... This is a crude mock-up of a proposed design that worked ok in Netscape (no gap appearing between columns). I gave each cell a bgcolor to match the color of the image files they contained.

I remember that this was a real headache...

I've just got to work this morning and it displays fine in NN 4.08. I probably will have to use a background colour but unfortunately can't test it just yet with having 4.08.

I'm not entirely sure which version of NN I was using at home last night but I'll have to have a play.

The annoying thing is that all the other cells fit perfectly, just not the one with the background image. Unfortunately when I place top3.gif in the cell as normal and stretch it to width=&quot;100%&quot; the image does not appear.

Ahh well.

Thanks for your help.
Chris :)
