netscape and the <TD onclick

Im using the onclick on the td because of the way I want the mouseovers to work (text changes colour and td changes background colour. This doesnt work in netscape. does anyone know a solution to this problem?

It works in Netscape 6, but
doesn't work in Netscape 4.x

I have had the same problem with the mouseovers and tended to ignore it....I know, I shouldn't...but I couldn't be bothered trying to figure it out. The difference is that my mouseovers do not work in N6 or N4.7??? One thing I'd like to know is how to get the text to change? I have no problem with the background colors...but I can't get the text to change. Cany you help me out here?
