For years we have been running NS 4.7 with all users mail files kept on a Linux/SMB server for easy backup and archiving and so that the same mail account and files can be used from various machines (not at the same time of course). Never had any problems until we converted to 7.1 to get the anti-spam features - now it's a nightmare! Sometimes a user opens NS and everything is fine - another time there's no sign of the previously received mails that were left in the inbox waiting to be dealt with but, even stranger, new mails received in that session show up fine. If I monitor the LAN activity when NS starts I see a big burst as the mail loads then NS just seems to give up. Another odd "feature" is that when we tried to use full paths (e.g. \\server\mail_folder\user\mail) rather than have the server folder mounted as a disk - can see all the folders and their contents but can't open the individual mails (no error message, just a blank window).
