netrc problems 1

Hi

below in a line in my .netrc file when i try to ftp ho2kap01 i get the following error message.

machine ho2kap01 login anonymous password hoddle

root@hqax02 /usr/local/bin >ftp ho2kap01
Connected to ho2kap01.
220 ho2kap01 Microsoft FTP Service (Version 5.0).
Error - .netrc file not correct mode.
Remove password or correct mode.

netrc is readable by others

chown you.yourgroup .netrc
chmod 0600 .netrc
