Hi
I'm trying to setup ddns on a dvr security system. The dvr system has a place to setup the ddns info. I put the ddns address in.
Then I goto advanced settings in the netopia router and setup the ddns server info.
The dvr finds the ip address but not the ddns server.

I have setup ddns on linksys routers before. And I usually have to input my ddns username password and the ddns name.
On the netopia router the only option I see is to input the ddns server address.

This is setup on bellsouth dsl and has a static ip.
The dvr machine is a JPEG 2000.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks~!

Not sure why you need DDNS if you have a static IP, but at least for IPSEC, the 33xx models do not support DDNS, but the 2xxx models do.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

I'm so sorry. I meant it's not static. :( I'm so slow.

Is it possible to use the netopia router/modem as a modem only and connect a linksys router to it and use the ddns built in the linksys router?

Thanks~!
